Coke's C.E.O. 2000
Feb 2000
CEO Douglas Daft On Feb 17, 2000, Douglas Daft was installed as new Chairman and C.E.O. (chief executive officer) of the Coca-Cola Company. Daft replaces M. Douglas Ivester, who, as vice president in 1990, made the promise to use 25 percent recycled plastic. GRRN launched the campaign in March 1997, when we sent a letter to Ivester's predecessor Roberto Goizuetta.

Mr. Daft is from Austraila, where Coca-Cola uses at least 25% recycled plastic in all soda bottles.
