From points south:

Take I-87 (The Northway), north (follow the signs to Montreal) 55 miles or so to EXIT 23 - Warrensburg.

Turn left at the end of the exit ramp, then bear right, going north on Route 9, through the town of Warrensburg. Follow signs to Route 28.

2 miles outside of Warrensburg, take a left onto ROUTE 28 WEST. (Not a very well marked turn, so be alert for it.)

It's about 50 miles on Route 28 to Blue Mountain Lake. Do not speed. You'll go through Wevertown, North Creek, North River, Indian Lake. On reaching the junction at Blue Mountain Lake (there's a small store/gas station on the left and Potter's Resort straight ahead), turn left and go through the village keeping the lake on your right.

Exactly 2 miles past the gas station intersection you'll see on the right a big brown sign "Private Residence No Admittance" with a smaller "BMC" sign. (The sign is hard to see after dark - use high beams and watch for the totem pole; our driveway is 1/10 of a mile after that.)

Turn off there, follow the small BMC signs (not the red arrows) across two small wooden bridges, past a stable on your left, a tennis court on the right, then around to the left; BMC is a big brown building with a parking circle and a white birch tree in front.

Total time from NYC to BMC is about 5-6 hours.

From Boston: Take the Mass Pike (I-90) west to Exit B-3 (signs say Albany/Troy) to I-87 north and follow directions above. It's 5-6 hours.

From the west, or Canada, call us for directions.

* From Albany Airport, just get on I-87 North (it's already the Northway), which is well-marked and very close by. Driving time from the airport is 2 hours.

To get to I-87 from Washington, DC : take I-95 north to the Garden State Parkway north to I-87 (The New York Thruway). At Albany you'll pay a toll and get right back on I-87, but now it is called The Northway (follow signs to Montreal) and proceed as above.

The phone at BMC is 518-352-7391.
